A couple of years ago Molasses Creek was performing at “Smoke on the Water” in Washington, NC and had the great pleasure of hearing bluesman and writer Donald Thompson for the first time. Their immediate reaction was “Wow, we’ve gotta get this guy to the Festival!” Donald's CD "The Ocracoke Sessions" was released in 2008 at the Ocrafolk festival, and her has been an audience favorite ever since.
